Possible Topics
Securing Sexuality accepts proposals from anyone working in a field related to sexual and relational health. While we do expect our presenters to be subject matter experts in the topic they'e proposed, we aim to be as inclusive as possible with respect to diverse academic, professional, and personal backgrounds.
All submissions go through a blind review process and are scored by three reviewers according to our rubric. Scores are averaged and invitations extended based on the overall score each proposal receives. We strive for fairness and to mitigate the overt and covert biases present within every human. Proposals from non-traditional, marginalized, or otherwise under-represented community members are strongly encouraged. Securing Sexuality offers three learning tracks (below). Attendees are not required to select a specific track and may attend any workshop they find appealing, however all proposals must specify which track is most suited to their proposal topic: |
Are you a technologist at heart, with a passion for Passion? Do you build, design, engineer, create or secure? Does your talk focus on the bits and bytes of modern sexuality? The Creator track is for you!
Are you an educator, direct service mental or sexual health professional? Do you teach, discuss, explore, unpack, or encourage? Do you own more than three cardigans and a vulva puppet? The Connector Track is your home!
Are you an activist, an organizer, an artist, or an ally? Do you share, show, advocate, or produce? Are you leveraging your lived experience and hard-earned wisdom to make a difference in the world? The Community Track is all about you.
