Securing Sexuality is committed to being as inclusive and accessible as reasonably possible for an event of this scale. To this end, we have established the following protocols for those attending the live conference in Detroit:
Attendees will have the option to choose a badge lanyard that signals their preferred boundaries:
Green: hugs and handshakes welcome
Yellow: non-contact greetings preferred
Red: wait for me to approach you, please.
Securing Sexuality cannot mandate masking, however we are strong proponents of choice and support each attendee's personal Covid risk assessment framework. To that end, we will have single-use masks available at registration and in each breakout room.
We want to make Securing Sexuality as accessible as possible for as many people as possible. For anyone who is unable (or prefers not) to attend live; your conference ticket includes access to recorded videos of each presentation, which will be available online a few weeks after the live conference.
Each morning at registration our volunteers will be doing brief temperature scans. We do not anticipate that folks will choose to attend while feeling ill, but we reserve the right to ask anyone with a temperature over 99.1 to learn via the online modules, rather than entering the conference space.
